I have a degree in Maths; I am a life insurance professional, and I am an experienced tutor for all Maths levels.

I have a lifelong passion for Maths which led to a degree in the subject and a career in life insurance as an actuary. I am a self-confessed bibliophile and a great supporter of public libraries. Marry numbers and letters, and you can guess what my favourite game show is!

I believe that Maths is not just a school subject, but a life skill that has many applications in our daily lives. I have taught in the classroom; I have also tutored one-to-one for many years. During the Covid pandemic, I tutored many small groups through the National Tutoring Programme - online and eventually face-to-face.

I am passionate about Maths and I would love to share this passion with other learners. A typical lesson will last for 1 hour, and a student can request as many lessons as they think will help them achieve their potential. I will help you understand the topic and then guide you to solve word problems which is at the core of most assessments. At exam season, I will give you helpful tips to achieve your best score.

I typically tutor at the student's home which is a familiar environment for them and hence minimises their anxiety. For safeguarding purposes, I would request that another responsible adult is present within the premises. My lessons are mostly one-to-one within 15 miles of Bury St Edmunds, but we can always work something out if you live further away. I also consider tutoring small groups of up to 3 students.
