I've spent five years teaching, moving from SEND teaching into History, RE and Sociology, and now Head of Sociology and A-Level History at a private sixth form. I also mark A-Level Sociology as an AQA examiner. Three time graduate of the University of Sheffield.

I'm a qualified teacher with five years' classroom experience across state and independent education. I started in SEND, spending two years supporting students with a wide range of academic and learning needs, before moving into subject teaching, two years covering History, RE and Sociology in a state school, and most recently a year as Head of Sociology and A-Level History teacher at a private sixth form.

I currently teach AQA A-Level Sociology and History, and also mark A-Level Sociology exam papers as an AQA examiner, so I know exactly what gets top marks and where students typically lose them.

My approach combines solid content teaching with focused exam practice. I break questions down properly -what's actually being asked, how marks are allocated, where students throw marks away — rather than just covering content and hoping it sticks. Every session is built around the individual student: I identify where their knowledge is weak and tailor what we cover accordingly, rather than working through a fixed generic plan. I tutor GCSE and A-Level Sociology and History, working with students who need extra support as well as those aiming for top grades.
