I am a graduate of Royal Holloway College;part of London University, where I studied AstroPhysics. So I have a deep background in physics but also mathematics as hardly anyone uses more complicated maths then physicist do.

Teaching Experience
I have been tutoring for ten years now. Face to face and online. Before that I had my own business in manufacturing and design. So I was responsible for implementing new technology and techniques and for teaching the use of the new approaches I discovered and introduced. A teacher suggested my skills and knowledge were going to waste after I sold my business and I should consider tutoring. So I did.
Tutoring Approach
Because I have had to think really carefully about physics and maths, I understand what I am teaching. This gives me an ability to really simplify what at first appear complicated ideas and to point out to a student what really matters to their understanding of a topic. I also try to ensure they go about their work efficiently and are able to catch errors when they make them. But my real aim is to teach my students how to study for themselves without using AI. A skill that is getting lost and I feel is important to maintain and will help them for the rest of their lives.
