Online lessons can be challenging at times, but she has such a great attitude towards learning, and seeing her connect with the music she loves has been fantastic. She's making wonderful progress. Matthew is an excellent teacher. He has kindled the passion in my son to learn and practice guitar regularly. He is very prompt on his timings and schedule. He takes a keen interest in my kid's interests. Would highly recommend him.

Matthew was a great tutor! He was very friendly and supportive. He even took the effort to get me a better ukulele from what I had. I took lessons from him during the pandemic and unfortunately couldn’t continue for long due to personal problems but the lessons I did have with him were great fun and I picked up songs pretty fast! He’s patient and gets you to list out your fav songs so that he has an idea about your likes and teaches you accordingly.

I bought lessons for my husband who was an absolute beginner and Matthew made it such an enjoyable experience. He really considered my husband’s music taste to tailor the lessons. Matthew is so passionate and experienced (not to mention patient); I would recommend him to anyone.

Having been messed around slightly by another guitar teacher I made contact with Matthew and am very glad I did so. He's extremely knowledgeable, patient, and good at explaining things. I'd picked up my guitar again three years ago for the first time in many years (no prizes for guessing why!) and started re-teaching myself as best I could. I was making ok progress, but at the beginning of January I realised if I was going to do this seriously I needed to get a good teacher. Using the internet to try and learn is all well and good, but nothing beats actual face to face interaction with someone who is an excellent musician, knows what they're talking about, and can show one on the spot what to do, where one is going wrong, and how to get it right. I am more than happy to recommend Matthew to anyone who is thinking of taking the plunge and getting serious about getting better on the guitar. I've pretty much only played acoustic guitar in my life so far, but at some stage I want to start properly on electric and I know that Matthew will be just as accomplished in that area as well.

Matthew has taught my son (10 years) for a term so far now (and we intend to continue next term too). It has been a really positive experience, Matthew was very quick to put my son at ease and adapt his teaching style to my son’s needs. He has also travelled to us and is flexible and very easy to deal with. My son is very much enjoying the ukelele, thanks to Matthew’s excellent teaching!

Matthew replied immediately to my message and was so accommodating in finding a slot in his schedule for lessons to begin quickly. Is is so kind and genuine and also patient and highly skilled. He has given advice about instruments and equipment and has been on time for every session so far. I can't recommend him highly enough!

Matthew is a brilliant teacher, he structures his lessons around music that my son loves and makes sure he feels like he's achieved something in each one. My son looks forward to every lesson and spends the time he needs practising so he's ready for the next one which is just great to see. I highly recommend Matthew!

Matthew has really helped ignite our daughter's passion for music and the ukelele specifically. He makes the sessions fun and builds them around the music that she enjoys listening to. She really looks forward to the sessions and they have a good rapport together. He really seems to communicate with her at the right level. Would highly recommend.

Matthew has been working with my daughter to support her in her music tech A'level. She really enjoys the sessions and says that time flies during the lessons. Matthew is working really well with her to support her learning and we feel really confident that she will make great progress under his tuition.

Matthew is an amazing music teacher. My daughter is loving her Ukulele lessons. He is a very talented, responsive, supportive and approachable teacher. I can highly recommend Matthew as a music teacher, online zoom lessons have worked very well!

I bought a set of guitar lessons with Matthew for my boyfriends birthday having also got him a new guitar. Matthew was excellent. Really friendly and professional and certainly knows his stuff. Matthew helped him understand the theory as well as techniques for learning some of his favourite songs. Matthew tailors the sessions and music to individual needs and song choices. I’d highly recommend Matthew to anyone.

Matthew is a wonderful teacher, he is patient and passionate, most importantly Matthew knows how to keep my daughter interested in learning by asking in advance the songs she likes and would like to learn. I am so pleased to say that after three lessons only, my 10 years old daughter is able to play the intro for Nothing Else Matters. Strongly recommend Matthew!

Matthew is a brilliant teacher! He has now been teaching my boyfriend how to play the guitar for roughly two months and it has been going really well. He is a very clear communicator and his teaching style is methodical and structured whilst also being fun and allowing for creativity! We would highly recommend Matthew as a teacher!

Matt has been guitar tutor after I decided to pick up the guitar again after 15 years out! My interest has been in fingerpicking and he has been patiently teaching me songs grounded in solid theory. I have had 3 months of the lesson and not once has he canceled or been late to visit for my lesson. I feel much more comfortable with approaching tricky Beatles melodies. Matt's style is patient and reassuring which I appreciate. I would recommend to anyone looking for a patient and solid tutor.
