My daughter really likes Blake. He’s friendly and relaxed but gets results. She did brilliantly in her GCSEs but nose dived in the first year of A level Chemistry and Biology. Within just a few lessons with Blake, her confidence grew and her grades started to rise. After only a few months she’s getting A stars again. As her mother, I feel I can relax and stop worrying as Blake has her back on track, and focuses on things she has struggled with at College. Nailing the underlying maths for chemistry has made a big difference.

I have learned so much in my lessons with Blake. He paces the lesson just right so you feel challenged but not overwhelmed. Blake asks questions and gets me to respond which promotes faster learning. He is patient and eager to help.

Blake is engaging and helpful and is always more than happy to clarify any grey areas or blank spots in my knowledge. He encourages me to answer my own questions and think outside the box and goes over topics clearly and concisely. I really enjoy our sessions because I always come out of them feeling like I have genuinely learnt a lot and have a more well-rounded understanding of the topic. Blake links topics well and encourages the formation of synoptic links between topics I have learnt previously. I feel a lot more confident in my knowledge and ability to answer exam questions since working with Blake and have seen the results of this in three-weekly tests at school. I would highly recommend Blake as a tutor- between his extensive knowledge of exam questions and genuine enthusiasm for topics- you learn incredibly well.

I couldn't recommend Blake enough, his lessons have changed my daughters entire view of science - she is actually excited by it now. Blake really takes the time to make the lessons engaging. The best news is that on her last test she got her highest mark ever in science, really an amazing result.

Blake's lessons have completely changed my son's opinion of Biology and general work ethic for the better. My son was about to drop Biology, but this is no longer the case. He instead wishes to continue with Biology and has shown continuous improvements in his knowledge and subsequent assessment scores. Blake immediately established an easy rapport with our 15 year old son, they were even laughing together in the first lesson!
