Teaching Experience
I have taught a wide range of subjects for various exam boards over 15 years to all different ages and ability levels in schools and colleges and 1:1. Subjects taught include Biology, Chemistry and Physics GCSE and IGCSE. A level and IB Biology, BTEC Applied Science. I am an experienced senior examiner for A level and GCSE Biology.
Tutoring Approach
I use our first session to get to know each other and identify areas of strength and weakness. I try to plan creative, enjoyable lessons which allow us to openly discuss the concepts covered and aim to establish a relaxed atmosphere where students feel comfortable to ask any questions. I work with students to build confidence and in addition to covering the content I also ensure there are opportunities to apply knowledge gained to exam questions so you feel fully prepared for the exam.

Unfortunately, I had a discussion with the tutor, agreed a date to start, and paid the finders fee for Vicki to tell me that her fee had increased and wasn't reflected on the website. Unfortunately, we weren't able to match the increase as she was already at the top of our budget. She wasn't able to honour the price online, so we needed to start again finding a tutor, which is really frustrating. Since the feedback, she has offered to honour the original fee, but it is too late, and we have already found a new tutor.
