Gerard is clearly passionate about maths. He has been really helpful preparing my daughter for her upcoming GCSEs, including tough marking to prepare her for what is required in the actual exam. He is also a very kind person.

Gerard has been tutoring our son for the last 5 months in A Level maths. Our son has SEN (ASD, ADHD and Dyspraxia), is often very tired from school and can be difficult to engage. Gerard has been very patient with him and shows tenacity to ensure our son is well prepared in terms of completing homework and being ready for tests. He has a wealth of knowledge in maths and has helped us as parents to also understand the context around A level maths and what will be expected/our son needs to be prepared on for the exams.

Since November 2023 Gerard has been an excellent Maths tutor for our sons (aged 17 & 14). He is always prompt and friendly in communications with us and has proved to be a knowledgeable and skilled teacher for our boys. Both the boys (one about to sit A levels and the other in his first year of GCSEs) are really comfortable and happy with him. He is engaging and responsive to their individual needs, and the result has been a noticeable increase in their Maths confidence and ability. It was especially lovely for us to see our younger son, who is not very talkative at all, chatting quite happily with Gerard from the first lesson. We are grateful to Gerard and would not hesitate to recommend him as a tutor.

Gerard is an excellent 'A' level tutor. He is very thorough in his approach to explaining the right way to approach answering questions.
